My mission is to provide an alternative and natural coping strategy to support mum's , children and young people struggling with their anxiety through mindful reflexology, self-care reflexology, Functional Reflex Therapy and Essential Oils.
Self-Care Hand Reflexology (Currently virtual)
Maybe you have a child who struggles with sleep, anxiety or controlling their emotions, if so this routine is perfect for them to to begin to take responsibility of how they are feeling and understand how this can affect their body. With regular practice they will discover they are able to allow their body to relax and feel a sense of calm. Not only can this help lower anxiety, and improve sleep it can help them to focus and concentrate.
During this workshop I will guide you through a self-care relaxation routine, giving you and your family the time to relax and focus on your wellbeing. The routine uses relaxation techniques drawn from reflexology to help you become aware of your breathing and allow your body to feel calmer.
Together you will discover how areas on your hands link to parts of your body for example the balls of the hands relate to the chest/lungs. I will share 8 relaxation movements, where you will be encouraged to think about the specific body part you are working applying these 3 words SLOW, CALM and RELAX. Learning this routine together is a fab way to bond and create a calmer home environment.
The routine is designed to be completed in a rhythmical and repetitive way allowing the body time to respond to each movement. Using the routine on a regular basis helps:

Functional Reflex Therapy (FRT)- Parents Learn a Rainbow Relaxation Routine! (Currently virtual)
If you are a parent looking for a practical strategy you can use to support your child’s high levels anxiety learning this simple relaxation routine is an amazing way to do just that! The routine has been designed for you as a parent to carry out on your child and is very effective for children with autism and special educational needs. When receiving this rhythmical and repetitive routine regularly it can help lower their anxiety, improve sleep and encourage social interaction.
During this workshop you will discover the amazing benefits of the Functional Reflex Therapy Framework and how you can use this with your child to lower their high levels of anxiety. I will guide you through the relaxation routine where you will learn and practice 8 movements (you will need a willing volunteer!) following the colours of the rainbow as an easy way to remember the order, action, and body parts it supports.
As you are complete the routine you are encouraged to focus on the specific area of the body you are working and to deliver the movements slowly and calmly. This gives you time to take deep breaths and enjoy the sensations. The routine is intended to be relaxing for both of you. Learning this routine and using it on a regular basis is a great way for your child to allow their body to relax and leave them feeling in that moment in a better frame of mind.
We will also discuss how you could use a ‘tool kit’ as an object of reference child to encourage communication and responsibility, especially when they are feeling highly anxious and need a way of expressing how they are feeling. What I love about this routine is that it you can use it at any-time or anywhere.
FRT was designed by Lorraine Senior, it was drawn from the original practices of reflexology to support the mental health and wellbeing of children with high levels of anxiety, stress, autism, communication issues or intellectual difficulties. Having completed this course as part of my professional development I am delighted that I can offer this as part of my reflexology practice.
The Workshop includes:
*An introductory email on FRT, reflexology and setting-up. *A 15-minute pre-workshop phone call. *A 1-hour Zoom video call to learn routine and discuss use of the 'tool kit' and safety considerations. (You will need a willing volunteer for approx. 30-mins). *Emailed resources after the session to support the techniques learnt. * A 15-minute follow-up call via Zoom. (Willing volunteer needed).
Please note this is not a qualification, the techniques demonstrated allow you to deliver a simple routine to benefit the members of your family only.
1:1 Foot/Hand Reflexology Treatments (Face-to-Face)
Are you looking for a natural way to support your emotional wellbeing? Maybe you struggle with anxiety through headaches, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, unable to switch off! Then I can help you feel more relaxed, less anxious and in a better frame of mind. I will support you with treatments specific to how you are feeling and will advise you on techniques you can use on your own hands in-between session.
Reflexology is a fantastic complimentary therapy that can be used as an additional coping strategy to support your mental health and emotional wellbeing. During the last year I have focused my professional development on expanding my knowledge on how I can implement further reflexology techniques into my treatments to support my clients with their anxiety. Through completing Functional Reflex Therapy and Mindful Reflexology course I have a greater understanding of how anxiety can affect children, young people and adults with high levels of anxiety.
Having this knowledge and additional techniques has empowered me with the skills to further support my clients with their specific anxiety symptoms. While treatments are holistic and focus on the ‘whole’ person, reflexes are then targeted according to the individuals specific symptoms. My ultimate goal each session is to enable my client to ‘relax’. This is often visible as their shoulders drop and they sink back into the massage couch, for me this is incredibly rewarding.
Through regular treatments my clients and I have noticed amazing difference in their anxiety symptoms and ‘what their foot/hand reflexes say’. They have also identified they sleep better and overall, they are in a ‘better frame of mind’.

Medical History Form:
After an initial chat or email booking, you will be emailed through a medical history form to complete before your first treatment. This will be discussed in further detail during the investigatory session.
Investigatory Session: 1-Hour
Here, I will discuss your medical history form and what outcomes you would like to achieve from having reflexology. I will carry out an investigatory treatment to identify any imbalances within the reflexes, the findings will be discussed in relation to your medical history, physical and emotional wellbeing.
Follow-up Treatments: 1-Hour
Each treatment will be personalised to you, each week this maybe adapted slightly to suit your physical and emotional wellbeing that week. To fully embrace the benefits of reflexology I recommend between 4 – 8 weekly 1-hour (30-mins children) sessions. This will be discussed with you during the investigatory session.
During the lock down I had a zoom session with Nicola to learn FRT to try and help with my daughter who is on the autism spectrum. WOW the session was great, Nicola has been amazing throughout the whole process and very supportive after the call and ongoing. I would without hesitation recommend Nicola as a person and what she teaches has had a huge impact on my whole family. My daughter has responded really well, and she really enjoys it - which is a huge bonus and actually asked to do it! We have seen progressive changes in her throughout the 10 days that we have been carrying out FRT. As well as changes in her sleep pattern, 7 days in to FRT and she actually slept through!

Reflexology is the most relaxing experience, both physically and mentally, I have ever enjoyed.
