Sara Louise - Helping Children with Loss
Description
Sara Louise provides educational programmes to provide skills and tools to parents, carers, teachers and those who care for children to help them support their children who have suffered a loss of any kind.
Ever had that sinking feeling when you see a heart-broken child and don’t know how to support them? Ever wondered if you are saying or doing the right thing?
Our children face losses on a daily basis but they are never taught how to manage their emotions following these losses. (Research has shown that our children can face over 20 different losses including a family bereavement, parental separation, life-limiting illnesses, loss of self-esteem to name a few).
Sara Louise had co-written an educational programme, which is delivered world-wide and taught under license from Grief UK, that teaches us ‘the big people’ how to support our children ‘the little people’ when they face a loss. Through a series of tried and tested systematic steps, the big people are guided through a process that allows them to identify the losses faced, the behaviours that losses create and how to move the little people to a point of recovery and being complete with the losses they have faced.
Sara Louise offers a 4 session educational programme called Helping Children with Loss (online). Each session lasts 2-2.5 hours and sessions are 1 week apart. Books can be made for 1 person or a small group. Costs include all course materials, live streamed sessions and 6 months support. Sessions can be delivered in person or via zoom.
