A Stroke of Luck
A Stroke Charity Offering Advice & Access to Exercise-Based Stroke Recovery
A Stroke of Luck (ASL) provides stroke survivors with the opportunity to access fitness professionals’ services to aid in recovery and rehabilitation. Why does A Stroke of Luck exist? No stroke survivor should be left alone thinking ""what next?"" With A Stroke of Luck, the journey to a fuller life continues because we truly care, and create positive communities.
Introducing physical activity into a stroke survivor’s daily life increases the sense of wellbeing and by connecting stroke survivors and personal trainers, we can work together to develop a healthier body and mind. This is exactly what A Stroke of Luck does. As a stroke charity, we provide you (the stroke survivor) with the access to fitness and wellbeing experts who support your post-stroke recovery journey, leading to a more fulfilled life. But we don't stop there...
We don’t forget about the often-forgotten community: the friends and families of the survivors. We understand you need support and guidance too. Our Founder, Craig Pankhurst is himself a stroke survivor and he’s as passionate about supporting fellow survivors as he is helping their nearest and dearest. We call this: Creating the ‘A-Team’.
Creating an ‘A-Team’ and working together makes the difference. Letting the survivor be the captain of their A-Team will enable them to have the confidence to excel in life. A Stroke of Luck can support and guide you on being the best team player you can be. Remember, each member of the team has an integral role to the success of the A-Team!
The most important aspect to the start of our journey is raising the vital funds which allows us to realise A Stroke of Luck’s potential.
The income we receive over the next few months will support the final building phase of the membership portal and matching system which connects stroke survivors with personal trainers. In addition, income will be attributed to building the A Stroke of Luck Team. We are creating jobs, and we need your help to do that!
Please donate to this very worthy cause as we are building a positive community in the pursuit of giving Stroke Survivors a way to cope and make things better."
