Greater Moments :

Greater Moments is a mobile platform built around the needs of People Living With Dementia, recording emotional wellbeing, as well as service use and the daily happenings that impact how a person is feeling, building an evidence-base of how different experiences improve - or impair - someone's enjoyment of life. This is wrapped up within a localised activity and event planner, shared between a person living with dementia and those who care for them.

Wellbeing recordings are made not only by People Living With Dementia, but also their family members and unpaid carers whose lives are impacted by their condition and their caring role. Over time, the recordings build an evidence-base, highlighting the types of interaction that are of benefit to individuals, as well as understanding the ways in which those experiences which are lagging-behind can be improved. On a person-by-person level, this allows intervention for those who are struggling or experiencing a downturn in wellbeing. In addition to this, identifying the ways in which services are underperforming allows a team of local champions to co-ordinate with service providers to identify shortcomings, and work to improve them, ultimately helping Greater Manchester build toward being the best place in the country to be living with dementia.
